Ministries

Women’s Ministry at Eastside Vineyard Church exists to encourage women in their relationship with God through Jesus Christ; to help women grow in being imitators of Jesus; to provide avenues whereby women can discover and use the gifts God has given them both within the church and in their community; and to foster healthy friendships with others, especially other women.

The Women’s Ministry promotes spiritual growth through study of the Bible. It also gives women an opportunity to learn how to pray individually and corporately, helping women to develop a two-way relationship with their heavenly Father as well as praying for others out loud in a group setting. They also learn how to not only talk TO God but also to LISTEN to Him.

The practical vehicles offered to help women grow in their relationship with God are: getting involved in a small group Bible study, either a women’s group or a group; serving in one or more of the ministries offered here at Eastside Vineyard; participating in our Women’s Discipleship Program, taking a Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts Course, or participating in our Leadership Training.

Women also learn in the small group Bible studies as well as in the Sunday morning church services, how to worship the Lord and how to use their spiritual gifts. Classes are offered 2-3 times a year to assist women in discovering what their spiritual gifts are and how to use them to impact others. The Women’s Ministry ascribes to the same vision that the Eastside Vineyard Church holds to: A“Passion for the Greatest Commandment and the Great Commission will produce a Great Church”. The Greatest Two Commandments given by Jesus and written in the New Testament in Matthew 22:37-39, say, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind”. The second is like it, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself”. The Great Commission was given to us by Jesus just before He ascended from the earth. He said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matt. 28) Our “passion statement” offers a simplified reminder of what kind of people we want to be. We want to be found having a “Passion for God, a passion for each other and a passion for the lost”.
