I.                   Crazy Little Thing Called Love—12:11, 14-15

 

II.                A Spiritual Father Type—12:14b; 1 Corinthians 4:14-15

1.      He begets spiritual children—1 Corinthians 4:15b

2.      He loves

3.      He admonishes (warns)—1 Corinthians 4:14

4.      The “crazy little thing called love” back at you—a reciprocation—2 Corinthians 12:15

 

III.             Being Unified

1.      Titus did not exploit you did he?  2 Corinthians 12:18; 2 Corinthians 7:6-7; 7:13-15

2.      Did we not act in the same spirit (unity)?—2 Corinthians 12:18

3.      Is this all about defending ourselves?—2 Corinthians 12:19

 

IV.            Having Hopeful Expectations That The Church Would  Not Be Known For These Negative Attributes—2 Corinthians 12:20

1.      Quarreling—strife and inappropriate debating

2.      Jealousy—

3.      Outbursts of anger

4.      Factions—partisanship, negative coalitions and unholy alliances

5.      Slander—backbiting

6.      Gossip—the negative “whisperers”

7.     Arrogance—a “swelling” of pride

V.               Hoping The Church Would Do A Few Final Things: 

1.      Examine Self—2 Corinthians 13:5

2.      Aim at the target—I Corinthians 13:11

3.      Listen and take heed to this appeal—2 Corinthians 13:11

4.      Be of one mind (unified)—2 Corinthians 13:11

5.      Live in peace—2 Corinthians 13:11

 

    VI.   Result?  2 Corinthians 13:11—“The God of love and peace will be with you.”
